DAY 01

ARRIVE DELHI – UDAIPUR (FLY)

Arrive Delhi and directly proceed for your flight to Udaipur

DAY 02

UADIPUR

After breakfast, proceed for a tour of Udaipur City which includes the visit of Palace Museum, made of granite and marble with filigreed balconies, ornate windows and craftsmanship in glass. Each palace within the museum is an outstanding creation of art.

Also, visit Sahelion ki Bari, the “Ladies Garden”, with its rich foliage and intricately designed fountains.

In the evening, enjoy a Boat cruise in Lake Pichola on which the majestic Lake Palace Hotel is situated. See the ghats along the lake and the interesting buildings on the banks. The view of the palaces from the lake is spectacular. Dock at the Jagmandir Island where Maharana of Udaipur once gave Shah Jehan sanctuary.

DAY 03

UDAIPUR – JODHPUR VIA RANAKPUR (260KMS/ 5 HRS APPROX.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Later check out from the hotel and drive to Jodhpur. On arrival, check in at the hotel.

On your way to Jodhpur, visit Ranakpur Temple, a beautiful sculptured Jain temples. Marked as one of the five holy places for the Jain community, these were created in the 15th century. The central Chaumukha [four faced temple] is dedicated to Adinathji. The temple is an astounding creation with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars, all distinctly carved, with no two pillar the same. This is an amazing evidence of the genius sense of architecture that enhances the charm of the place. Every temple has this conceivable surface carved with equal delicacy. Overall Ranakpur is known as ' The tranquil pilgrimage town'.

Continue your drive to Jodhpur. On arrival check in at the hotel.

Jodhpur is also known as "Sun City". Is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is called the Gateway to Thar, as it is literally on the edge of the Thar desert.

Later enjoy a short walk through the local and vibrant bazaar of Jodhpur.

DAY 04

JODHPUR – JAISALMER (320 KMS/ 6.5 HRS APPROX.)

After breakfast, proceed for a short tour of Jodhpur visiting the impressive Mehrangarh Fort on a 37 m low sandstone hill built by Rao Jodha in 1459. From the top of the fort one can get a bird’s eye view of the old city. You will notice the predominance of blue houses referred to as Brahmin houses - the colour being associated with the high caste. Proceed to the Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph built in 1899 for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II, Umaid Bhawan Palace and smaller memorials to other Maharajahs of Jodhpur.

Later check out from the hotel and drive to Jaisalmer.

On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Jaisalmer, unlike any other city, this desert fortress is one of Rajasthan's most exotic and unusual towns. Jaisalmer, an important ancient trading centre because of its strategic location on the camel trade routes, is often described as the 'golden city'. The havelis, built by merchants of the 19th century, are exquisitely carved from golden-yellow sandstone and are still in a beautiful condition. The fort built by Rawal Jaisal in the 12th century, stands on the 80 m high Trikuta hill, with beautifully carved Jain temples.

DAY 05

JAISALMER

Later, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer.  See the Citadel, the fort built by Rawal Jaisal where a fourth of the population lives. Also visit Jain temples of the 12th to 15th centuries, Patwon ki Haveli - a five-story mansion with carved pillars and murals, Salim Singh and Nathmalji ki Haveli.

Visit the Gadsisar Lake, a water conservation tank made around 1400 AD by the then maharaja of Jaisalmer, Maharwal Gadsi Singh.

In the evening, mount the camel and enjoy the Camel Ride through the desert. Witnessing the sunset over shifting sand dunes in this Rajasthani backdrop is an experience to cherish.

DAY 06

JAISALMER – BIKANER (334 KMS/ 6.5HRS APPROX.)

After breakfast, drive to Bikaner. On arrival, checkin at the hotel.

If ever beauty has bloomed in a desert, it has been at Bikaner. Founded in 1488 AD by Rao Bika Ji, it's located in north-west part of Rajasthan. The imposing palaces, beautiful and richly sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones display some of the finest creations of Rajput civilization. It's the lust for the "desert" or affection for the "desert" that tickles every heart to visit Bikaner.

Later in a day, visit Junagarh Fort also called the impregnable fort since it has the distinction of remaining unconquered. It is encircled by moat and houses, many outstanding palaces, pavilions and temples made of red sandstone and marble with kiosks and balconies. Also visit Lallgarh Palace which was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. The intricate dexterous carving on the red stone is a hallmark of great craftsmanship. The palace treasures a marvelous collection of old photographs and hunting trophies, well preserved and exhibited.

DAY 07

BIKANER – JAIPUR (330 KMS/ 6 HRS APPROX.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Later check out and drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Jaipur is also popularly referred to as the ‘Pink City’. The town of Jaipur is in fact, built in the form of a nine-part Mandala known as the 'Pithapada'. Nine in-fact signify the nine planets of the ancient astrological zodiac. The Hawa Mahal in Jaipur is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Northern India.

DAY 08

JAIPUR

After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jaipur.

Steeped in history and culture, this city is known for its magnificent palaces, forts, broad avenues and spacious gardens. The romantic charm of Jaipur takes you to an epoch of royalty and tradition.

Visit the Amber Fort, ancient capital of the Rajput rulers. The fort is perched atop the hill, overlooking a lake. On your way to the fort, stop for photography. Upon arrival at Amber, ascend to the hilltop fort on a decorated Elephant, in a true Maharaja style!

The majestic ramparts of the Fort, which surrounds the palace, makes one imagine the power of the character. Visit the beautiful complex of palaces including inlaid mirror palace, halls, pavilions, gardens and the famous Kali temple.

After Amber Fort, visit a factory to see the famous block printing work, a craft that has been practiced in Jaipur for centuries.

In the afternoon, visit the City Palace - the royal residence of Maharaja. The palace is a mixture of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.

Also visit the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Wind. The palace was built in 1799 to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch street processions while remaining in a strict state of purdah. Its a five-storey facade, decked with no less than 593 finely screened windows and balconies, making the building seem far larger than it really is. 

Finally, visit the 18th century Observatory, begun by Jai Singh. The most striking instrument in the observatory is the sundial with its 27m high gnomon. The shadow that it casts moves up to 4m an hour.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.


DAY 09

JAIPUR – AGRA VIA FATEHPUR SIKRI ( 250KMS/ 5HRS APPROX.)

After leisurely breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel and drive to Agra.

On the way to Agra, visit Fatehpur Sikri  for 45 minutes. Fatehpur Sikri is a World Heritage sight. This exquisite city was built by Akbar the Great in 1569. The city, built in red standstone, has forts, palaces and mosques. The city was abandoned 14 years after its creation due to political reasons. Must see are - The Diwan-i-am - a vast courtyard in which the emperor gave daily public audience, the Diwan-i-khas - a large quadrangle which hosted all the major functions of the Palace, the Pachisi court - Emperors private living quarter. Some other important buildings of this complex are Jodha Bhai’s Palace, Mariam’s Palace, Birbal’s Palace, Hawa Mahal and Panch Mahal. The Friday Mosque and the exquisite tomb of Sheik Salim Chisti are in the religious grounds set aside in a separate enclosure adjacent to the secular buildings.

Drive further to Agra. On arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel.

Later visit the Agra Fort.

Agra Fort - built by three Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD, Agra Fort is a design and construction masterpiece. Within the fort, there are a number of exquisite buildings including Moti Masjid, Jahangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas and Musamman Burj where Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor, died as a prisoner.

AGRA - DELHI DEPART

Save the best for the last. After breakfast, visit the famous Taj Mahal on decorated Tonga’s. Taj Mahal is an inimitable poem in white marble. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 16th century, the monument took 22 years to complete! It was built in the memory of Queen Mumtaz Mahal where her mortal remains were enshrined. Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the World.
